Awal Gulf, commits itself to train Bahrainis, through Tamkeen’s Human Capital Development Programmes which offers resources and funding for such projects.
The project aims at new Bahraini recruits of Awal Gulf to receive structured training in various operations in the company. The program is structured around the UK National Vocational Qualification.
Awal Gulf entered into an agreement with Tamkeen as part of a strategic move that aims to attract, develop and retain a pool of Bahraini talents in technical and non-technical areas.
Awal Gulf believes that this step will generate a host of new growth opportunities for the company as well as for Bahraini employees.
On successful completion of the ‘on- the- job training’, candidates assigned to one of three different roles in the business in Assembly, Quality Control or After Sales services will also get up to BD 50 increase in their basic salary. Awal Gulf Managing Director Adel Mattar believes this initiative will further strengthen the company’s efforts to sustain its position as “an employer of choice” within Bahrain.

Awal Gulf entered into an agreement with Tamkeen for undertaking – “The Career Progression Programme”. This program is designed to address skill deficiencies that hinder the Career Progression opportunities of employees and also those who decrease their productivity.
The programme is designed to help employees to achieve higher productivity and improve their efficiency by indentifying and tackling their personal skill deficiencies. After successful completion of the programme employees will be entitled to receive an increment in their basic salary.
This will help the kingdom and Awal Gulf in the following ways.
Awal Gulf intends to motivate its employees and recognize those employees who perform extraordinarily by rewarding them with a certificate and 100 BHD as reward for being employee of the month. Reward and Award is presented to the employees at the shop floor by MD himself in the presence of Sr. Management team and entire company employees.
Awal Gulf encourages long relationships and rewards employees for being loyal and putting in dedicated services to the organization by recognizing employees with certificate and cash reward for 5,10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of Service. Awards are presented in a grand ceremony of Company’s Annual Day celebrations.
